Shop Bayou is a concept store that is part gift shop for the Musee de Free People of Color, part art gallery for emerging Black artists, and part brick-and-mortar hub for a collective of Black makers, artisans, and artists. Their mission is to provide Black makers the same commercial opportunities to market their creations as other less marginalized groups by creating equitable partnerships with thoughtful turnarounds for payment and co-marketing strategies.
