KID smART engages children in dynamic, creative and rigorous learning through the arts. KID smART’s approach focuses on arts integration – linking instruction in the arts with instruction in the academic curriculum – to increase students’ academic achievement, build their critical thinking/problem-solving skills, foster creativity and imagination, enhance their social/emotional growth and engagement, while increasing teacher efficacy and job satisfaction.

Elise Gallinot Goldman (Education Director)
As Education Director at KID smART, a New Orleans based arts education organization, Elise Gallinot Goldman has been crafting imaginative and instructive collaborative artist residency and professional learning programs in arts integration for the past fifteen years. Elise has been instrumental in developing partnerships with cultural partners and schools and has designed and presented engaging professional development for teaching artists and classroom teachers. She received her B.A. from the University of Georgia, her Masters Degree in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans, and has researched and trained in best practices through national models and received her certification training in Montessori education. In addition to her work as an artist and educator, she has worked in the non-profit arts sector as Executive Director of the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra and Associate Director of the New Orleans Film Festival.
