The Entrepreneur
Emily is the firebrand founder and CEO of Gator & Crane, Inc. She is an international educator turned green grocer who has worked in all aspects of the food industry for nearly two decades. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Northern Illinois University and an MA TESOL from The New School for Public Engagement. She believes food is a unifying force and that Louisiana’s culinary traditions new and old will be the catalyst for achieving a hunger, waste free world, one meal at a time.
Darrell Greiwe has 15 years of experience in food and beverage startups. He has held successful positions at many influential companies in Chicago and New York, and now works in retail in New Orleans. Darrell holds a BA from the New School for Social Inquiry with a focus in Economics. He plans to combine his experience in retail management and hospitality with his passion for food, wellness and sustainability to help New Orleans lead the way in the fight against food waste.

During the Startup Accelerator Program, Gator & Crane earned a total revenue of $2,000 through five pop-up markets, brick and mortar and their newly launched e-commerce site. They have completed a business and fundraising plan to execute in 2016.
Propeller excels in its ability to facilitate connections between local experts and social entrepreneurs. Our participation in the Impact Accelerator led us to meet key stakeholders in our field that we may not have met otherwise.
