PitchNOLA 2014: Living Well

PitchNOLA: Living Well is Propeller’s newest social innovation competition. Sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, this competition offers $10,000 in total start-up funding for solutions that will get New Orleanians healthier, more active and better nourished. When faced with the numbers, Louisiana is among the worst in the nation when it comes to obesity, infant mortality, HIV and the number of uninsured. Let’s change this.

Do you dream of owning your own fruit orchard, performance space, art installation, green house, dog park, outdoor gym, outdoor science lab, goat farm, herb garden, or something else awesome?

PitchNOLA: Lots of Progress focuses on transforming blighted and vacant properties into projects for community benefit. In partnership with the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, this competition offers the opportunity to choose a vacant lot, win it for free or at a reduced cost, and receive cash prizes to make your idea a reality! $10,000 in cash prizes.
