Propeller Pop! Celebrates Social Entrepreneurs with Pop-up Chef Showcase

23 October 2019

On Wednesday, November 6th, Propeller will open its doors for Propeller Pop!, its annual fundraiser celebrating social entrepreneurs in New Orleans with a showcase of local pop-up restaurants. The event marks the graduation of the 30 entrepreneurs in its Impact Accelerator, which works with entrepreneurs to build businesses rooted in financial sustainability, social impact, and racial equity.

Hosted by event chairs The Honorable Mary Landrieu and Donna Glapion, the event will also feature entertainment by the Nayo Jones Experience and Zulu Connection. The event will also feature a silent auction, with prizes including private dinner for five cooked in your home by award-winning chef Jason Goodenough of Carrollton Market.

This year’s event will feature pop-ups of local favorites and newcomers alike, several of which have graduated from Propeller’s Impact Accelerator:

Mia X – Whip Dem Pots | Brother2Sister Catering | Cocktails by Pop! | Cupcake Fairies | Ms. Gloria’s Kitchen
Ma Momma’s House of Cornbread, Chicken and Waffles | Piety and Desire Chocolate Vaucresson Sausage | We Dat’s Chicken and Shrimp | Whiskey & Sticks

Doors will open at 6:00pm for the Top Pop! Patron Hour, followed by General Admission from 7:00–9:00pm at Propeller Incubator (4035 Washington Avenue).
