The Smile Epidemic is a unique program that helps individuals and organizations capitalize on the popularity of social networking and the use of digital tools to become happier at home and in the workplace. They use academic research, science-based understanding,and emotional intelligence, combined with technology to reinforce learning. They work with a variety of organizational institutions including Universities and Colleges, workplaces, with unions and government, and offer services for free to youth.
The Smile Epidemic beat out 3,000 other applicants to get a speaking opportunity at the SXSW Interactive Conference in Austin, TX 2013 to discuss the impact of social media and digital tools when sharing positive messages. Over 60,000 people are registered to attend the conference this year. They will be driving through New Orleans on their way to Austin and are stopping at the Propeller Incubator to share their message, insight, and tips into the SXSW application process.
