This workshop will focus on how we can build an equitable water workforce in Southeast Louisiana. As different entities are working to support the growth of the water sector in our region, what considerations should be made for ensuring that recruitment and support is given to marginalized communities? How can small businesses be supported to have the opportunity to bid on contracts, and how can mentorship programs assist in growing small businesses? This workshop will also focus on the role of bridging the gaps between the coastal and urban water management workforces, and will discuss how to integrate workforce skills needed across Southeast Louisiana.
