This free workshop begins with a foundational explanation of leadership styles – both effective and ineffective – before taking a focused look at successful leadership habits. Participants will learn how organizational leadership is reflected through communication with employees. Finally, bullying and harassment will be discussed as the dark side of leadership and organizational communication.
About the Facilitator:
Douglas Marshall is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Southern University at New Orleans with a PhD in Rhetoric (focus on communication ethics, interpersonal communication, and organizational communications). He holds an MS is in Mass Media Arts & Journalism, and has taught various courses in subjects that range from public speaking to technology/social Media, to communication.
