PitchNOLA 2012: Lots of Progress is a live pitch competition event that showcases the innovative ideas of New Orleanians. We challenged anyone in New Orleans to propose a creative, viable, sustainable and scalable use of a vacant or blighted property that would have a positive impact on the community. After receiving many high-quality applications, we chose 10 Semi-Finalists. At the Lots of Progress Competition, these individuals and teams will pitch their idea in front of a live audience and panel of “celebrity judges” for the chance to win $10,000 in cash prizes towards implementation and a vacant lot(s) of choice from a selection of 49 NORA-owned properties.
