Last March, I went to a trade show (Expo West) and got such an outpouring of interest by retailers and distributors. I always thought I wasn’t ready to raise capital. I was in a startup email thread and someone posted about Propeller’s Impact Fund II application opening. A week or two later I got a call back. I had been funding Dreamland with my own finances, every additional dime I had, I would put toward the business. From the beginning, Patrick was so hands-on and helpful. He linked me with someone to help with our pitch decks, financial projections, helping us pitch not only to Propeller but to other funds. We raised 50k from Fund II. Having that established relationship with Propeller helped us talk to other funds.
