By Lance Traweek, Editor

Propeller announced its 2025 Impact Accelerator: Startup Track cohort, marking the first time the program is composed entirely of women entrepreneurs. The group of early-stage business founders aims to drive social and economic impact across New Orleans and beyond.

The 2025 cohort includes Tirongila Harris of Tee’s Catering, LaPortia Miniex of NOLA Botanical Tea, Hermina Lezama of Coffee Island, Alexis Myers of Rooted Power Collective, Renada Beauford of Little Hands, Bailey Hutchinson of TruCulture Community, Janikah Miles of Blessings Academy, Chemwapuwa Blackman of Blackman Mental Health, Danyel Black of Dr. Danyel Nicole LLC, and Laura Landry of Canal Place Barber & Nails.

Propeller designed its Startup Track to support early-stage ventures with specialized mentorship, instruction, and resources, helping founders refine business models, expand customer bases, and scale operations. Entrepreneurs in the program work within five focus areas: Community Economic Development, Health, Food, Education, and Water.

Since launching the Impact Accelerator in 2011, Propeller has supported more than 1,000 entrepreneurs through various programs, with 390 participating in the flagship Accelerator. Participants have reported generating over $350 million in revenue, securing $129.5 million in financing, and creating more than 4,500 jobs.

“The 2025 Startup Track represents a significant milestone in Propeller’s commitment to fostering diverse entrepreneurial leadership,” the organization said in a statement.
