Jewel Chavis
The Entrepreneur
Jewel Chavis, is the Operations Director at Community Connection Programs, and the youngest daughter of the company’s founder and Director, Tanda Armstrong. Born and raised in New Orleans, Jewel attended Xavier University Preparatory High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Community Development from Howard University in 2015. Jewel’s passion for children, learning, and her community led her to the classroom, where she taught elementary education for three years. Jewel has returned to her family’s business as an operational and social welfare leader.
