Propeller provides businesses and nonprofits in New Orleans with funding to help them start and grow. We invest seed funding in ideas just starting out through our PitchNOLA competitions. Our Social Venture Fund provides low-interest loans to small business and nonprofits who may be considered “too risky” for traditional sources of capital. We work hands-on with every entrepreneur who receives funding, from coaching all PitchNOLA competitors on their presentations to providing all loan recipients with ongoing mentorship and guidance throughout their repayment period.

The Propeller Social Venture Fund invests in BIPOC entrepreneurs, as well as businesses and nonprofits tackling disparities in the areas of community economic development, education, food, health, and water.
Propeller’s pitch competitions award seed funding to early-stage businesses and nonprofits with ideas to tackle social and environmental disparities. Each PitchNOLA competition focuses on a single issue area, including education, water industries, and health outcomes.
