As part of the Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare), the Health Insurance Marketplace will significantly reduce costs for uninsured and self-insured individuals. Nearly 6 in 10 uninsured Americans could get insurance for $100/month or less. Yet, most people say they don’t understand the mechanics of how the Marketplace will work. Come hear Maxwell Ciardullo, an expert from the New Orleans Health Department, explain the law, with a focus on how it will affect freelancers, social entrepreneurs and small business employees and employers.
