Learn the techniques, tips and secrets to better photography in this hands-on course taught by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Ted Jackson. The eight-week series begins on Monday, October 1, 2018. The instruction is specifically designed for people who want to get beyond the basic point-and-shoot mindset. Whether you’re interested in family portraits, sports, wildlife or landscapes, we’ll cover it all. In a matter of weeks, you’ll join the 5% of camera owners who actually know how to use the controls. More importantly, you’ll learn how to “see” the pictures that most people miss. To get the most out of the class, you’ll need a digital SLR camera with manual controls. Smartphone users are welcome too, but some of the instruction will be beyond the smartphone’s capability.

We’ll meet once a week for eight weeks (skipping Thanksgiving break) at The Propeller Incubator, centrally located 4035 Washington Avenue. Free, off-street parking is available. Please know that I need 10 commitments to make the class viable. The class is limited to the first 15 students to sign up. Many of you know that the Northshore class filled up fast so don’t wait too long. The class will focus on instruction, demonstrations, assignments and most importantly, critique. For ages 15 and up.
