Over the past year, the How To Get The Gig (#HTGTGNOLA) artist workshop, provided by Uniquity Music has assisted New Orleans based musicians, bands – and/or their representatives – in building their knowledge bases on what venue owners, bookers, festival producers, etc. are looking for from artists and how to be in that selection pool.
In that same spirit and effort, Dropping Jewels, a one-on-one conversation with music industry professionals, will allow attendees to gain hands on experience heard directly from individuals well versed within the music industry, better organizational skills, the ability to write clear/concise emails for booking purposes and also have the opportunity to network with like minded artists with similar career objectives.
During our first edition of Dropping Jewels, we sit down with Baton Rouge based digital marketing and music consultant, Tyler Allen. As a music marketing strategist, Tyler works with an extensive array of artists, labels, music tech, and music retail entities. He began his music industry career with Sony Music Entertainment and RED Distribution, as well as the advertising industry. Mr. Allen is dedicated to giving veteran artists the tools to preserve their legacy, and new artists the tools to begin theirs (as well as everything in between).
