The Challenge:
New Orleans still faces tremendous challenges in education, poverty, health, food, environment, etc.

The Pitch:
Pitch your idea for a sustainable solution that solves a pressing social or environmental challenge.

The Prizes:
$5,000 First-Place cash prize, $500 “Audience Favorite” prize, pro bono services, and exposure in front of 200+ attendees.

PitchNOLA 2012: Community Solutions is a live pitch competition event that showcases New Orleans’ best ideas for solving an environmental or social challenge in our city. We received many high-quality project proposals, from which we selected 10 Semi-Finalists. The Community Solutions event is when these individuals and teams will pitch their idea in front of a live audience and panel of “celebrity judges” for the chance to win First-Place, a $5,000 cash prize, and/or win “Audience Favorite,” a $500 cash prize. Propeller will also offer technical assistance to the winner to help with project implementation.

7:15pm Semi-Finalists Pitch
8:30pm Winners Announced; dessert reception to follow
