Are you looking to apply for some federal grants or do business with the government? Federal, state and local governments offer businesses the opportunity to sell billions of dollars worth of products and services. Many government agencies require that some percentage of their procurements be set aside for small businesses. Did you know that in order to receive federal funding or contracts, you will first need to register your organization with Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) and the System for Awards Management (SAM)?
Join Mike Ricks, District Director of the Small Business Association of Louisiana, as he walks us through the process of registration. After this workshop, you’ll be registered and ready to go!
You will need to have the following in advance of the workshop:
- DUNS Number (To obtain DUNS number, call 1-866-705-5711 or apply online at http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform. You will need to do this at least the day before the workshop since it may take a few hours to receive your DUNS number after applying)
- D&B Legal Business Name and Address
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Taxpayer Name
- A computer (please email Victor at vcarter@gopropeller.org if you will need to borrow a Propeller laptop for the event)
